About Agios Lavrentios and Music Village

Agios Lavrentios, a medieval village nestled in the lush region of Pelion, Thessaly, just above the city of Volos, is the picturesque setting for the Music Village festival. Since 2006, this festival has transformed the village into a hub of artistic cooperation, musical practice, and education, set against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty and traditional architecture.

Music Village has grown into one of Greece's most beloved cultural events. Last summer marked the festival's fifteenth year, establishing it as a significant event in the Greek cultural calendar. The event, supported by the Local Community of Agios Lavrentios and the Ministry of Culture, is organized by the non-profit NGO, arTree.

What to Expect at Music Village 2024

Music Village offers a rich program of music performances, workshops, and artistic collaborations. Participants can explore a variety of workshops, from theatrical clowning to traditional "Rebetiko" music and vocal training.
