1. Scope These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our online booking engine and the purchase of accommodation services offered by property partners via our platform (followmetogreece.com). By making a booking you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full.
2. Contracting party The accommodation contract is concluded directly between you (the guest) and the property you book. Followmetogreece acts solely as an intermediary booking agent and is not a party to the accommodation contract. We do not own, manage, or operate any of the listed properties.
3. Eligibility You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. By making a booking you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and truthful. Bookings made on behalf of a third party require that person's consent.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate guest details and a valid payment method.
- Review the rate description, included services, applicable taxes, and the cancellation/payment policy before confirming.
- Ensure that your email address and phone number remain reachable throughout your stay period.
- Inform the property directly of any special requirements (accessibility needs, dietary restrictions, etc.); we cannot guarantee these will be met.
5. Prices, taxes, and fees
5.1 Display currency Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. Exchange rate fluctuations are outside our control if you pay in a different currency.
5.2 Taxes and on-site charges Applicable taxes and fees are displayed during checkout where known. Certain local or municipal tourist taxes, resort fees, and on-site charges may not be included and may be payable directly at the property.
5.3 Service and management fee Our prices include a service/commission fee charged to the property owner and are the result of a net rate plus our margin. No additional booking fee is charged to the guest at checkout unless stated explicitly.
6. Payment and payment security
6.1 Payment processor All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment service provider. Your card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure payment page.
6.2 What we store We never store, view, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or any other sensitive payment data. Card tokenisation and storage is managed exclusively by Stripe.
6.3 Redirect to Stripe After you confirm your guest details on our booking page, you will be securely redirected to Stripe's hosted payment page to complete your payment. This is the safest method of online payment and is fully compliant with EU Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) requirements under PSD2.
6.4 Virtual cards For certain rates, once your payment is confirmed, we may issue a Stripe-issued virtual card used solely as a payment guarantee to the property via WebHotelier. This card is never shared with or accessible to the guest and is used only for the operational settlement of your booking.
6.5 Authorisation and charges Your card may be pre-authorised at the time of booking and charged according to the payment policy of the selected rate (e.g. pay now, pay at property, or partial deposit). The applicable policy is displayed before you confirm.
7. Cancellation, refund, and non-refundable rate policy
7.1 Rate-specific policies Each rate has its own cancellation and change policy, which is displayed clearly before you confirm and on your booking confirmation voucher. Please read it carefully.
7.2 Refundable rates — management fee retention Refundable rates are subject to the property's cancellation conditions. In all cases, a non-refundable management fee of 5% of the total booking value is retained by Followmetogreece regardless of when the cancellation is made. This fee covers the cost of payment processing, platform operations, and booking management. The fee is clearly disclosed at checkout before you confirm your booking.
7.3 Non-refundable rates Non-refundable rates are charged in full at the time of booking. No refund is issued under any circumstances, including changes of travel plans, illness, or force majeure events (see clause 12). We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for non-refundable bookings.
7.4 No-shows and late cancellations No-shows or cancellations made after the free-cancellation deadline will be charged according to the property's penalty policy, as shown at checkout and on your voucher.
7.5 Amendments Any changes to dates, room type, or number of guests are subject to availability and the property's conditions, and may result in a price adjustment. We cannot guarantee that amendments will be possible.
8. Booking confirmation A booking is confirmed when you receive a booking confirmation number by email. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive it within 15 minutes. Keep this confirmation for access to your voucher and for any support requests. If you do not receive a confirmation, contact us at info@followmetogreece.com before assuming the booking was successful.
9. Right of withdrawal (EU consumer rights) Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(l), the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services booked for a specific date or period. Your right to cancel is governed solely by the cancellation policy of your selected rate as described in clause 7.
10. Data protection and privacy We process your personal data in accordance with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our Privacy Policy [link]. We collect only the data necessary to process your booking and do not sell your data to third parties. Payment data is processed solely by Stripe under their own privacy and security obligations. By making a booking, you consent to your data being shared with the relevant property for operational purposes.
11. Prohibited use You may not use the platform for fraudulent, automated, speculative, or otherwise illegal bookings. We reserve the right to cancel bookings suspected of abuse or fraud without notice and without liability.
12. Our liability We act as an intermediary only and are not responsible for the accommodation, services, cleanliness, safety, or conditions provided by the property. Our aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the affected booking, unless liability cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g. EU consumer protection rules). We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.
13. Force majeure Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, war, strikes, government orders, or technical outages. In such cases, we will endeavour to assist you in finding a resolution with the property, but refunds remain subject to the property's own force majeure policy.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Consumers in the EU have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated to participate in alternative dispute resolution procedures unless required by law, but we will always endeavour to resolve disputes amicably.
15. Changes to these terms We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The version applicable to your booking is the one in effect at the time of confirmation.
