Archontika Karamarlis Boutique Hotel & Guesthouse opened in 1989 when owner George Karamarlis renovated the old ancestral mansion into a small luxury accommodation. Later, he acquired and renovated adjoining mansions, forming the current boutique hotel. Each room differs in style, decorated with original features selected individually. Most bathrooms feature mosaics, and floors are either preserved wood or natural ceramic cotto. In December 2015, the guesthouse was added, housed in two renovated mansions. Rooms include LCD TV, minibar, shower bath, and some have fireplaces. A room with disabled access is available. Located in the heart of Makrinitsa, the hotel offers private parking. Amenities include airport/port transfer, bar, beauty treatments, car/motorbike rental, concierge, lobby lounge, room service, snack bar, Wi-Fi, and pets are allowed. Breakfast is served in the Boutique Hotel Lounge Bar Café with a gilded ceiling, fireplace, and a terrace overlooking Volos and Pagasitikos Gulf.
