Kokkymelon Xanthi Property Type: House
Kokkymelon Xanthi is a guesthouse complex located on the eastern edge of the village of Toxotes in the Xanthi region. The property consists of three stone buildings constructed with traditional craftsmanship, featuring potamometra and plaster work by artisans from Kastoria. Originally built during the tobacco boom era, the complex served the needs of a large tobacco production operation that employed 40 workers and extended across the estate to the opposite hills.
The current owner has renovated the two-storey building in the northern part of the complex to function as a guesthouse, while maintaining the second part as a private residence. The renovation has preserved the external appearance and basic interior design of the original structure. Original architectural elements include the wooden staircase and iron window bars, which have been retained as part of the property's historical character.
The guesthouse maintains its traditional stone construction and architectural details while providing accommodation in the Xanthi area. The property is situated in a village setting with access to the surrounding region. The accommodation offers a connection to the area's historical tobacco heritage through its preserved architectural features and original construction elements.
Access to the property is available from major transportation routes in the region, with the guesthouse located approximately 500 meters from the designated meeting point in Toxotes. The owner provides guidance to the accommodation from this point, ensuring straightforward access for guests arriving by car.
