Ritsos Guesthouse Monemvasia is a traditional guesthouse located within the historic Castle of Monemvasia. This property, originally a home, was converted to a guesthouse in 1978 and underwent a full renovation in 2017. It consists of one double room and four apartments, offering flexible accommodation suitable for families or groups. The rooms feature handmade furniture and rugs, creating a simple yet atmospheric environment with a traditional character. All accommodations are equipped with air conditioning, a refrigerator, and Wi-Fi. Some units include a kitchen, allowing guests to prepare breakfast and light meals during their stay. The guesthouse is situated about a hundred meters from the Castle gate and just a few steps from the town's main square. Its location is just above the Portello, the eastern gate of the wall that leads down to the sea and a swimming spot. On the ground floor, there is a traditional café that operates from April to October, serving local breakfast recipes. Guests can relax under the shade of an old fig tree with coffee or ouzo and appetizers. During winter months, breakfast is served in the dining area of the Malvasia Hotel. Ritsos Guesthouse was the first organized accommodation in the Castle of Monemvasia and belongs to the Malvasia Traditional Hotels group, along with the Malvasia Hotel and Stellaki Mansion. Upon arrival at the Castle, guests check in at the group reception located on the cobbled high street, approximately fifty meters from the entrance gate. The property combines traditional character with modern amenities in a historic setting within the castle walls.
